Ranked lifting for iPhone and Android

See how strong you really are

Log your workouts and get a strength rank for every lift, from Bronze to Titan. Gym estimates your one-rep max, compares it with strength standards for your sex, bodyweight and age, and keeps you training with streaks, quests and weekly leagues.

Free to start. No account needed.

A fast workout logger, honest strength ranks and just enough game to keep you showing up.

Train and rank

  • Gold

  • Diamond
  • Titan

A rank for every lift

Log a set and Gym estimates your one-rep max with the Epley formula, then places it on strength-standard ranges for your sex, bodyweight and age. Climb from Bronze to Titan, with three steps inside every tier and a Top X% score you can track over time.

A logger built for the gym floor

Log sets in a few taps with your previous numbers in view, start from a routine, and let the rest timer start on its own after each set. The plate calculator shows which plates to load on each side of the bar.

Muscle map and recovery

See a rank for each muscle group on a front and back body map, spot the muscles that lag behind, and check a simple 48 to 72 hour recovery guide before you choose what to train next.

Stay consistent

Streaks, quests and weekly leagues

Keep your streak alive, clear daily and weekly quests for XP and gems, collect medals and climb weekly leagues against other real lifters. Add friends and compare weekly XP on your own leaderboard.

Nutrition tracking

Set calorie and macro goals and log meals by hand for free. With Pro, scan a barcode to pull product data from Open Food Facts, or snap a meal photo for an AI estimate you can edit before you save it.

AI workouts on demand

Tell Gym your goal, how much time you have and what equipment is around, and get a workout built from the exercise library. Your first one is free.

How it works

From your first set to your first medal in one session

  1. Log a workout

Track sets, reps and weight in the logger. Start empty, pick a routine, or let AI build a workout for you.

  2. Get your rank

Each set becomes an estimated one-rep max. Gym compares it with strength standards for your sex, bodyweight and age, then shows your tier and Top X% score.

  3. Climb and stay consistent

Beat your best sets to rank up, keep your streak going, finish quests and move up the weekly league.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about ranks, your data and subscriptions

How is my rank calculated?
Gym estimates your one-rep max from each set with the Epley formula: weight × (1 + reps / 30). It divides that by your bodyweight, adjusts it for your age, and places the result on strength-standard ranges for your sex that are based on publicly available strength standards. The result is a percentile, shown as Top X%, and a tier from Bronze to Titan. It is an estimate against those ranges, not a ranking of Gym users.
Do I need an account?
No. You can start right away without signing up; the app creates an anonymous account for you in the background. If you want to sign in on another device or keep your data after reinstalling, add an email address or sign in with Apple or Google from your profile. Without that, reinstalling the app or switching phones starts a fresh anonymous account.
Is my food photo stored or shared?
Only when you use the photo scan, a Pro feature, and only after you agree to it in the app. The photo is sent through our AI provider OpenRouter to an AI vision model that estimates the food, with provider data collection turned off. If you save the meal, the photo is stored with that meal log in our storage, and it is deleted when you delete the meal or your account. We do not share it with anyone else and never use it for advertising.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, go to Profile > Account > Delete account. If you never added an email, use Profile > Delete my data. Either option permanently deletes your profile, workouts, ranks, body weights, goals, nutrition logs and meal photos. You can also email us from the address on your account; the Delete account page explains how.
How do I cancel Pro?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so you cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. If you cancel during the yearly plan's free trial, you are not charged. After you cancel a paid period, Pro stays active until that period ends. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
Are there bots in the leagues?
No. Leagues only contain real Gym users; there are no bots or simulated opponents. When few people are active in a league, the promotion and relegation zones shrink to match its size.
Is Gym free?
Yes. The workout logger, routines, rest timer, plate calculator, streaks, quests, leagues, friends and manual nutrition logging are free, along with ranks for 3 exercises and 1 AI workout. Pro costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year in the US, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
